Bean plant observations continue.

Grade #6:  Ecosystems fill – in – blank activity.  Introduce Activity 2:  Comparing Structures and Functions (Back of Webbed Feet lab sheet). 

Resources:   Plant data sheets, Google Classroom fill in blank (multiple choice) graded assignment,  MMinds 16 / 17  pg. 322.   

 

Tuesday

Bean plant observations continue

Activity 2:  Comparing Structures and Functions (Back of Webbed Feet lab sheet).  Students choose examples of various organisms (Mammal,  bird, fish,  etc).  Fully sketch and color organism,  zoom in on a structure the organism has that helps it survive in an ecosystem,  sketch and color.  Then, explain use of the structure.

Resources:  Plant data sheets,  MMinds 16 / 17 pg. 322,  hardback books with organism examples,  internet (Facts for me),  student experiences.

 

Wednesday

Bean plant observations;  Weather Observations.

Continue working on Activity 2:  Comparing Structures and Functions.  Begin discussion of how these structures help organisms become a part of a food chain and food web.  Introduce the concepts of Food Chain / Food Web.  

Resources:  Weather / plant data sheets,  Activity 2 sheet MMinds 16/17 pg. 322.

 

Thursday

Bean plant observations;  Weather Observations.

Continue Food Chain / Food Web discussions.   Begin Grade #7:  Food Chains / Food Webs. 

Resources:  Weather / plant data sheets,  lab folders,  food chain / web examples.

 

Friday

Bean plant observations

Continue and complete Grade #7:  Food Chains / Food WebsIntroduce Inherited Traits / Learned Behaviors.
