Grade #5: Unit 22 – Solar System / Planets.  Use resources to demonstrate understanding of Solar System / order of the planets on 10 questions – daily grade activity.

Investigate Time Zone map – use and relate to the model of Earth’s Rotation and the Day  / Night Cycle.   Introduce Water Cycle:  Does this occur on the Moon?  Why / why not?   Intro:  Water Cycle in a Jar.   Water Cycle chant.

Hands – on lab experiment:  Water Cycle in a Jar.   Students model the H20 cycle using hotplates,  mason jars,  ice in baggie,  flashlight,  warm H20.
