Soil Makers – Earth Shapers activity. Students examine soil types: Gravel, sand, clay, topsoil/ sandy loam. and how soil is made / where it comes from. Weather allowing, outdoor observations comparing various soil types around the WOISD Campus. Prepare for Thursday’s hands – on soil types lab.

Google Classroom: EARTH SCIENCE ASSIGNMENT #4 – Review Earth’s rotation / day-night cycle. Also compares certain activities on Earth as compared to the Moon.

Weather observations
Soil types examination continues: Gravel, sand, clay, topsoil / sandy loam. Hands – on lab: ACTIVITY 2 – SOIL TEST. Whole group demonstration of water retention. Record data / compare – which soil types resist erosion, good for plants?
