Monday

Weather observations (Nonliving part of an ecosystem)

Google Classroom Assignment: Life Science Review:  Ecosystems.  Includes reading passage – Life Science: Producers in Ecosystems,  Ecosystem campout activity & sketching.   Brainpop video – ecosystems.  

Tuesday

Weather observations (Nonliving part of an ecosystem)

Grade #4:  Eco-What?  Students show understanding of Ecosystem characteristics on a 10 item review activity.  Continue working on Monday and last weeks’ activities.  Work in Nature Center (weather permitting)

Wednesday

Weather observations (Nonliving part of an ecosystem)

Examine / review structures and their functions on organisms (producer and consumer).   Review Inherited Traits / Learned Behaviors.  Organisms from classroom as examples and have class in Nature Center weather permitting.

Thursday

Weather observations (Nonliving part of an ecosystem)

Grade #5:  What’s on These Organisms?  5th graders show understanding of organism structures and functions and how they allow an organism to survive in an ecosystem.   Learned Behavior / Inherited Trait activity (Fill-in-the-blank) activity.

Friday

On the Hunt Ecosystem scavenger hunt / survival activity.  Weather permitting,  students locate organisms placed in the Nature Center.   Identify as consumer / producer / decomposer / living / nonliving,  and evaluate whether the organism would be naturally observed in this East Texas Forest Ecosystem.
